Some FAC Initiatives Include:

• Creating a Cultural Alliance serving Fairfield and the surrounding areas of Bridgeport, Easton, Trumbull, Weston and Westport;

• Providing an online Cultural Calendar listing events presented in the six-town alliance;

• Partnering with other organizations to develop a new arts facility at 70 Sanford Street in Fairfield, now the home of the Fairfield Theatre Company and the new home for the FAC;

• Representing Fairfield at state and regional arts meetings and bringing important information to area arts organizations;

• Advocating for arts organizations and individual artists;

• Representing an arts perspective in town forums;

• Providing arts-related information and networking;

• Establishing new arts programs for the underserved at Operation Hope, Grasmere Eldercare Center and the Fairfield Senior Center;

• Supporting strong arts programs in the schools by monitoring the budget process, hosting informational meetings, featuring student arts, and initiating new partnerships;

• Developing a Web site with FAC information, Cultural Calendar and links to area arts organizations;

• Publishing a newsletter featuring FAC news and other local arts organizations;
